Her Heart's Desire I

Cautiously she crept through the darkening night. Eyes alight with her tantalizing sapphire stare, she quickly scanned the castle for signs of life. No one was present. Her family continued to slumber on in their candle lit rooms, unaware of what was happening below. Invisible to all eyes, she slinked through the shadows until she finally reached her destination. Slowly inching the solid wooden door open so as not to make a sound, she entered. With a heart filled with passion and tenderness she sat down at the large oak desk. Despite the war that raged on between her kingdom and the next, she had managed to fall in love with her knight in shining armor. Though they couldn’t be together in body, in spirit and love they would always be as one. He was her protector, her love, her best friend. Though their families were mortal enemies, her heart would always remain with him. Pulling the warm candle’s glow closer, she dipped her pen in the dark ink and began to write to her love...

Here's the start of a small little series from me. It kind of tells a little story (kind of a romeo and juliet type of thing). This picture is probably the one that I like the least b/c I hate the way it looks, but I'm really including it for effect. The series really wouldn't be complete without it. The softness was intentional, and there will be 2 more pictures to follow this one.
