lol, kind of interesting where I got these flowers from. I had this idea in my head for a while for this picture, only since I was at school and it was the middle of winter, I didn't have any flowers. So I asked everyone in my dorm if they had any but didn't have any luck. So one day when I get back from class, my friend asked if I still needed flowers. I told her yes and she pointed to the trash can where 3 perfect little flowers lay. lol, so the subject of these pictures came from the trash can =p

Beautiful. So sad that someone would throw three beautiful flowers away! Great picture!

you have no idea how much your comment means to me! Not many people comment on my things, I'm not sure why, but I appreciate it so much

heh, I was wondering why someone wanted to throw away these flowers too! But ya know what they say, one person's trash is another person's treasure, or something like that. Thanks for your kind words!

That is so beautiful. I don't know if you planned this but I love the way that the shadow the flower is creeping up on the word death. It's just so beautiful and inspirational.

Thanks for your comment! Nope, didn't mean to make the shadow creep up to the word death, but it's always nice when little things like that do work out! I really appreciate your comment, and thanks for adding this piece to your favorites!

Great shot, try a b-w shot

I'm a sucker for this sort of thing.

It's absolutely beautiful. Try desaturating the colours (black and white that is) and then trying variations of hues to saturate it with. Or desaturate everything and then keep the yellow of the flower (if you have Photoshop this is a very simple thing to do...)

I'm glad you like it, thank you for your comments! Actually the whole series I originally shot in black and white but it was my first time using b&w film so I wasn't sure how much I liked it. But I did post the black and white ones if you want to check them out. Thanks for the comment!

Black and white is fantastic. It's very, very nice for portraits with the right lighting. It draws more attention to the eyes. I love black and white, which annoys everyone, because I take most of my pictures IN black and white.
